# Description
⚡ The Challenge
- Architect a high-transaction-per-second (TPS) hybrid matching engine to achieve sub-second order confirmations;
- Enable extreme leverage configurations (up to 1000x) backed by a robust single-pool liquidity model without triggering cascade liquidations;
- Engineer a cross-margin valuation layer supporting multi-asset backing, including stablecoins and BTC-native tokens (cbBTC);
- Integrate highly resilient decentralized oracle networks to prevent price manipulation and ensure smooth liquidations.
🔌 Integrations
- Hybrid Matching Layer: A modern setup decoupling intensive matching tasks into an optimized TEE Layer-3 / off-chain infrastructure, seamlessly writing instant transaction settlements directly to the Base blockchain.
- Dual-Tier Liquidity Core (RLP & BRLP): A baseline RLP pool consolidating multi-asset exposure (USDC, USDT, BTC) to fund trades, fortified by a secondary emergency BRLP cushion designed to absorb severe volatility spikes.
- Smart Collateral Framework: Complete cross-margin and isolated-margin flexibility, explicitly utilizing wrapped Bitcoin variants (cbBTC) as valid position collateral.
🎯 Results
- Launched a premier Perp DEX that successfully routed over $28 billion in cumulative volume, validating backend scalability under heavy loads;
- Validated ultra-leveraged 1000x trade execution tracks securely using aggressive dynamic funding rate calculations;
- Deployed sustainable RLP and BRLP framework nodes that automatically route platform protocol fee shares back to active ROLL stakers;
- Achieved sub-second trade execution latency comparable to leading centralized counterparts while ensuring full on-chain status verification.
🛠 Technical Challenges
- Mitigating MEV Front-Running Vulnerabilities at 1000x Leverage Bounds: At extreme leverage thresholds, an oracle price feed latency of even 1 second allows arbitrage scripts to systematically drain the counterparty liquidity pool.
Solution: Embedded low-latency push/pull oracle architectures from Pyth Network in tandem with premium aggregated spot CEX feeds. Enforced a multi-stage request-and-confirm execution wrapper, rendering front-running technically unviable.
- Ensuring RLP Pool Solvency During Severe Skews in Open Interest: Massive directional market shifts (high one-sided Open Interest) expose the underlying liquidity pool to catastrophic drawdown risks if the prevailing trend continues.
Solution: Programmed a dynamic mathematical fee stabilization module (Slippage & Spread Impact Fees). As directional Open Interest deviates from neutral parity, real-time premium scales automatically discourage over-concentrated positions while rewarding trend-balancing market flows.
- Eliminating Web3 UX Friction Induced by High-Frequency Wallet Confirmations: Prompting repetitive pop-up browser wallet confirmations for every single micro-adjustment, stop-loss tweak, or order creation ruins the rapid-fire experience required for derivatives trading.
Solution: Deployed an advanced Account Abstraction layer leveraging custom ephemeral Session Keys. Traders grant a cryptographically bounded authorization once upon authentication, allowing background keys to automate sub-second order signings under defined limits.
